How To Get Supple Soft Summery Sugar Skin

Brown Sugar Baby
Winter may have come and gone, but its drying effects are still lingering upon your skin. There is nothing more distressing than showing a little skin only to find it is still flaky from winter's last breath. If you want to shed your snake-like skin and show off your softer side, a do it yourself body scrub is what you need.

Spa Treatment from your kitchen
There's no need to feel guilty about going to the spa for a treatment, or to purchase a pricey scrub from the beauty counter. Everything you need for an easy spa-like treatment can probably already be found in your kitchen. If not, a quick trip and a couple bucks at your local grocery store will have you on your way to the smooth skin you desire.

What You Need

Sweet and Simple Sugar Scrub

3 cups sugar
1 cup olive oil
5-10 drops of your favorite essential oil, if desired

Extra Moisturizing Sugar Scrub

1 cup sugar
1 cup raw sugar
1 1/2 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon liquid lecithin
1 tablespoon vitamin E oil
5-10 drops of your favorite essential oil, if desired

Brown Sugar Scrub

1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon vitamin E
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon honey

Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined. Store in an airtight container and use within 2 weeks to avoid rancidity.

R & R: Rinse or Regret
To use any of these sugar scrubs, simply apply a small amount to your skin using your hand, washcloth or bath mitt. Gently rub into your skin using small, circular motions. Be sure to rinse the scrub completely away or you may find sugar crystals irritating you in unwelcome places. Pat dry and apply a moisturizing lotion or oil to help seal and protect your newly revealed skin.

Last Minute Mother's Day Gift
Don't you think this will make a great Mother's Day gift. Go to the store grab a mason jar, some twine and ribbon, some construction paper and make a mom you love a homemade gift from the heart. I may even do it for myself.
