Recall Alert!!! Consumer's be aware. Okay cereal lover's out there. Don't let your kid's or you for that manner eat Kellogg's Special K Red Berries. The Kellogg's Company issued a voluntary recall in the U.S. of three sizes of the cereal  due to the possible presence of glass fragments. 

Check your boxes and if they match the information below throw that mess out and contact Kellogg's for a replacement coupon. 

The New "Harlem Shake"

If you have't seen it yet, this is the New Harlem Shake that is taking the online world by storm. Everywhere I look I see a new video popping up.

The "new" Harlem Shake came out of no where, really. I don't know when, where or why. It's not even remotely similar to the original Harlem Shake, Puffy and Dame Dash are probably feeling some kind of way. 

Since when did dry humping anything in sight become a dance? It just seems like an excuse for guys to hump their other guy friends or anything for that matter.

Last night I caught the last hour or so of the BET Honors and Halle Berry was being honored for her Philanthropic efforts, specifically her work with the Jenesse Shelter .

The women that helped to honor her during the tribute were the amazingly humble and beautiful Phylicia Rashad, who deserves an honor herself. Also,  Alicia Key's has been honored for her numerous charitable contributions in the past and is to be commended as well. I would love to work with her in her many efforts one day.

Anyway I have to pick this Hip Mommy Chick, Alicia's song as my Hip Mommy Music Pick. The song that Alicia Key's sang (yes, sang) last night, if you missed it was "Brand New Me".

Meatless Taco Nacho's:Tasty Snack Made From Left Overs

Yep, that's right I said Meatless Taco Nachos. The secret is the Veggie Crumbles that are just as good as meat with none of the fat or calories. Trust me no one ever knows the difference. I have served up my Taco's and Nacho's to so many of my friends and family without their knowledge and they loved it.

After I told them I got a few funny looks and screwed up faces but, they still asked for more or just shrugged their shoulders and dug right in. Then you have the person that just let's it sink in

Hip Mommy Hair Tips: Cornrowed Ponytail with Bantu Knots

This is one of those styles that is pretty easy, considering you know how to braid cornrows. Actually, this style is not too challenging for the novice to give a try. If you are new to braiding and cornrows specifically.

The Cornrow Ponytail is a good way to practice with out doing a full row of braids. The hair is parted into thin rows (hence cornrows).

I like to start with the middle braid so I can effectively measure the rows and hair on the following braids to be done.
